This is what is now happening in Sentelle . . . in May 2011 it was decided that all Sentelle jars would have an exclusive design etched on them, this is because Sentelle jars do not have outer packaging as we want to stay true to the eco-friendly credentials of soy candles by Sentelle and we also hope our customers would like the etched stylish design in place of outer packaging.

The first jar to “showcase” the etched stylish design is the 7oz Lardes jar.

Soy Candles The Lifestyle Choice Part 2

Posted on: February 7th, 2012 by funmi No Comments

Following on from the previous blog we want to suggest three more sections of candle lovers soy wax candles may be a match for.

Soy wax candles are a match for candle lovers that want a healthy candle – switching to soy based candles is the answer as they do not produce toxins.

Candle lovers who only buy natural products which are also sustainable, renewable and environmentally friendly – switching to soy wax candles is the answer as soy wax candles are made from soya beans which is natural, sustainable, renewable and environmentally friendly.

Candle lovers who want a long lasting candle that has a “wonderful scent throw” – switching to soy wax candles is the answer as soy wax candles last 50% longer than conventional candles and has a “wonderful scent throw” leaving the room smelling gorgeous long after you blow the candle out.

Reading the two blogs you might have decided that soy wax candles is for you , to get the 100% benefits of soy wax candles though you need to buy a soy wax candle made with 100% soy wax.

In the market place a candle made with as little as 40% soy wax and mixed with other waxes for example palm wax or paraffin wax can still be called soy wax candle.

So if getting the 100% benefits of soy wax candle is important to you then to make the switch worthwhile only buy soy wax candles made from 100% soy wax.

Soy Wax Candles The Lifestyle Choice Part 1

In this Blog we would explore two sections of candle lovers soy wax candles are a match for.

Soy wax candles are a match for candle lovers who are tired of burning a candle for its calming ambience but instead end up with black stains on walls and home interiors – switching to soy wax candles is the answer as they are clean burning meaning they do not leave black stains on walls and home interiors.

Soy wax candles are a match for candle lovers who are constantly disappointed with the candle smelling gorgeous in the shop but then shortly after it is lit at home the candle looses the fragrance – switching to soy wax candles is the answer as soy wax does not have a smell of its own making soy candles a “blank base” for fragrances and when lit it is only the scent of the fragrances you get and the fragrance smells as strong at the bottom of the candle as it did at the top.

At this point you might be thinking that soy wax candles is for you , to get the 100% benefits of soy wax candles though you need to buy a soy wax candle made with 100% soy wax.

In the market place a candle made with as little as 40% soy wax and mixed with other waxes for example palm wax or paraffin wax can still be called soy wax candle.

Sentelle First Stop For Soy Wax Candles Part 2

Posted on: November 25th, 2011 by funmi No Comments

Following on from the previous blog which started to give details about the development and creation of soy candles by Sentelle.

I then make sure the jars, fragrance oils and essential oils are delivered to candle manufacturers who use 100% soy wax the soy candles are then made with my chosen colours and fragrance oils and in the case of the aromatherapy soy candles they are made colourless with the essential oils.

Unfortunately a soy candle with as little as 40% soy wax mixed with for example paraffin wax can still be called a soy candle.

Soy candles by Sentelle only use 100% soy wax because I believe if you have made the switch to soy candles because of its benefits then you want soy candles made with 100% soy wax to ensure you have all the benefits.

The stylish jars with its divinely scented soy candle or aromatherapy soy candle is then sent to me and I label them up ready to be bought and sent to you so that you can enjoy the wonderful scent throw of the scented soy candles or the therapeutic benefits of the aromatherapy soy candle.

Sentelle First Stop For Soy Wax Candles Part 1

I am often asked if I make my soy candles and I often see the face of the person who asked drop when I say no, but even though I am not in my little kitchen lovingly making soy candles alot of love and care is involved in the development and creation of soy candles by Sentelle.

I choose the glass jars from manufacturers of stylish glass jars. Sentelle is a trendy, stylish brand and a plain cup would not sit well with the brand.

Also because Sentelle has to be true to the eco-friendly credentials of its soy candles the jars have to be beautiful and stylish in order to stand alone without any outer packaging.

I choose the fragrances and essential oils from manufacturers of pure fragrance oils and unadulterated essential oils, and I finalise my choices after asking customers what fragrances and essential oils they like.

I choose the colour of the candle to match the fragrance for example the freesia fragrance is a pale lilac colour.

A Soy Wax Candle For Romantic Nights

Posted on: August 31st, 2011 by funmi No Comments

In this blog we suggest that the way to build a stronger relationship is to have romantic nights in

It could be said that a night at home with your loved one is the ultimate in romance – it takes planning, care and imagination.  Whereas a meal at a restaurant followed by drinks at a bar couldn’t be more formulaic.

Here’s how to make your home a haven for true romance:

The way to his/her heart

Food is a crucial ingredient for a romantic night in.  Don’t serve a ready meal on a lap tray – get creative.  Search the Internet for delicious recipe ideas that you know you can handle – a starter, main course and dessert will really sweep your partner off their feet and make them feel truly spoiled.

If music be the food of love….

Plan ahead and create a playlist that will set the right mood for the occasion – upbeat tunes to start with, followed by mellow music for dinner and beyond.

Dress the part

Just because you’re staying in, don’t be sloppy with your clothes.  Dress to the nines to show your partner you care about looking your best for them.

A romantic flick

An after-dinner movie may be a good way to unwind and snuggle into each other’s arms.  Who needs the cinema?  Set the mood with popcorn and settle down for a film that you’ll both enjoy.  If you share a love of comedy, go for laughs, or if you’re both hopeless romantics, choose a classic love story.

Ambience is everything

Dim the lighting and surround the room with beautiful scented candles for a soft glow and a sensual fragrance.  If you really want to impress, go for scented soy wax candles like those found at http://www.sentelle.co.uk/soy-candles.asp

They have a natural base that holds the fragrance for longer.  And you’ll earn “green” kudos, as they are made from soya bean oil, a natural, renewable resource that doesn’t give off toxins like manmade candles.  Whatever you do, keep a wide berth of paraffin wax candles, which could kill the mood with their “burnt petrol” smell or, worse, give your partner a headache!

Below is the image of the 6oz Tureen jar red door fragrance found at http://www.sentelle.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=TJreddoor  . . . one of the romantic scents sentelle retails.

Seven Wonders of Soy Candles Part 2

Posted on: August 11th, 2011 by funmi No Comments

In this blog we would talk about the last three seven wonders of soy candles and explain how a simple little luxury of burning soy candles can enhance your life.

Scented candles are an essential for your home.  The softness of candlelight aids relaxation and romance and a delicate fragrance completes the recipe for sensual pleasure. There are different ways we can enjoy our candle, but did you know that swapping your usual candles for soy wax candles could bring added benefits?  Here are seven ways that soy wax candles can bring you joy:

A calm, creative working environment

Inject an inspiring atmosphere into your workspace by using citrus scented soy candles, which enhance alertness.  Far better for you than gallons of coffee and more conducive to creative thinking.  And you don’t need to be distracted by your green conscience – soy candles are made from hydrogenated soybean oil, which is natural, renewable and biodegradable.

 A tool for house sales

In these uncertain times, you need all the help you can get to sell a house.  So de-clutter, put on some fresh coffee, fill the house with fresh flowers and light a few scented soy candles.  Your home will be a cacophony of colour and fragrance – working its seductive spell on potential buyers.

Romance and drama at a wedding reception

A candle lit reception is the ultimate romantic touch for a wedding.  Scented soy candles in  beautiful glass jars dotted around the venue will add sparkle to the occasion. Once the tables have been decorated, light the candles for at least an hour before the guests arrive to fill the room with a romantic scent.

To enjoy the atmospheric and sensual benefits of candles without negative effects, use candles made from soy.

There are many benefits of soy candles:  They are clean burning, so they don’t produce soot; they have a pure fragrance, which is slowly released without losing intensity; they are made from a natural, renewable source – soybean oil; and they don’t produce toxins or carcinogens, so you can breathe the air safely.

And here is our hot tip:

With soy candles, as with all of the finer things in life, quality and performance go hand in hand.  So choose 100% soy wax candles made from high quality soya beans.  Sentelle scented soy candles are a fine example.  They come in beautiful packaging, making them a lovely gift or treat.  They are available in a variety of colours and fragrances and can be purchased at www.sentelle.co.uk.

Seven Wonders of Soy Wax Candles Part 1

In this blog we would talk about four of the seven wonders of soy candles and explain how a simple little luxury of burning soy candles can enhance your life.

         A relaxing soak

Immerse yourself in a deep bath drizzled with your favourite bubble bath or bath oil.  Surround the bath with aromatherapy soy candles and enjoy an indulgent 45-minute soak.  Soy candles are clean burning so they won’t leave sooty marks on your bathtub.  And the slow release fragrance means you’ll never smell burning, just a wonderful, subtle scent.

         Time to chill

After a long, hard day, put on your favourite tunes, switch off harsh lights, lie back on the couch and surround your living room with your favourite scented soy candles.  Keep distractions such as TV and phones turned off and lose yourself in music and fragrance for one perfect hour.  Soy candles last 50% longer than paraffin candles so you can rest assured they’ll keep on burning.

       Bedroom bliss

If you’re enjoying an early night, or a little romance, candlelight is the best way to create a sensual atmosphere in your bedroom.  Light a few essential oil soy candles with your favourite scent and enjoy.  You don’t have to worry about wax spills on your bedroom carpet – unlike paraffin wax candles, soy wax candles are water-soluble so you can clean stains with soap and water.

       Dinner party ambience

If you’re having a dinner party, light gourmet soy candles one hour before guests arrive to fill your home with a warm, welcoming scent.  In the dining room, opt for a subtle fragrance that complements the food you are serving.  An exotic dish may call for a fruity-floral, while a Chinese dish may suit a musky scent.  Remember to blow out scented candles before serving food.

To enjoy the atmospheric and sensual benefits of candles without negative effects, use candles made from soy.
